Our mission at Aveda is to care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society. At Aveda, we strive to set an example for environmental leadership and responsibility, not just in the world of beauty, but around the world.
We’re partnering with Take 3 for the Sea to reduce plastic pollution.
Aveda is delighted to be partnering with Take 3 for the sea, an award-winning and celebrated leader in sustainability, with a mission to reduce global plastic pollution through education that inspires participation. The non-profit organisation, headquartered on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, aims to increase participation in simple actions to reduce waste and plastic pollution.
Their simple call to action encourages individuals to Take 3 pieces of rubbish before leaving the beach, waterway or… anywhere. The global #Take3fortheSea movement has recorded participation in 129 countries and removes over 10 million pieces of rubbish from the environment every year.
*Globally, Aveda works with Charity Water to help fund clean water projects. In Australia, $15 from your purchase is donated to our local charity partner, Take 3 for the Sea, to help remove rubbish from our waterways, conserve the environment and protect wildlife from the impact of plastic pollution and waste.
PLASTIC POLLUTION SOLUTION
We need a healthy ocean for our own survival. Through education that inspires participation, Take 3 is building a global movement of people who are connected to the planet.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) for cruelty-free research.
BCRF is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 by Evelyn H. Lauder and is the only national organization strictly dedicated to funding clinical and genetic research on breast cancer at medical institutions across the country, including Columbia University.
Every October, a portion of the purchase price from each sale of our hand relief™ moisturizing creme is donated to BCRF. Since 2001, we have raised $7 million to help fund BCRF cruelty-free breast cancer research that explores potential environmental causes and links to breast cancer.
